Core Competencies Sdn. Bhd. (CCSB) through its subsidiary Recycle Energy Sdn. Bhd. (RESB) has been given the necessary approvals by the Government to build a commercial scale Waste to Energy (WTE) Plant in Semenyih, Selangor. The plant will have the capacity to process 700 tons of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) per day and produce 5 Megawatts of electricity that will be purchased by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
CCSB is also currently in the midst of setting up a sophisticated waste generation and characteristics data collection system for the Kajang Municipal Council. This program will be implemented throughout the country upon successful implementation in Kajang, Selangor.
