Core Competencies Sdn. Bhd. (CCSB) was incorporated on the 24th of July 2000. Since then we have been dynamically involved in the design, engineering, construction, research and development of an Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) system for Malaysia.

 

In 2001 CCSB, in collaboration with the Malaysian Nuclear Agency (MNA), began research into Resource Recovery Technology, which converts Waste to Energy and Wealth. This led to the development of the Recycle Energy plant in Semenyih, Selangor, which has been processing waste from the Kajang municipality since July 2006. The plant recovers up to 80% of the raw waste in the form of reusable items and an industrial fuel, which is being used to generate electricity for the national grid as well as being sold to the cement industry as an alternative and renewable fuel.

 

We conduct ongoing research on waste composition with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and work closely with various government bodies. CCSB has been awarded financial grants from the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Berhad (MTDC) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

 

We also provide ISWM solutions to state governments and act as technology consultants on all matters relating to waste and waste management.
