What you need is energy. What you do not need is waste. Core Competencies brings you a revolutionary method of producing energy by recycling and processing waste. At Core Competencies, we are concerned about the earth we live in, concerned enough to do something about the rapidly increasing problem of Municipal Solid Waste disposal, the depleting natural fuel resources, and the effect of technology on our environment.
After years of developing the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Technology, Core Competencies is now ready to enter into the next chapter of the Company’s evolution by commercialising the RDF Technology and promote an Integrated Solid Waste Management System for the country.

RDF = E3. That is the energy equation that we believe in, with the three “E”s being Environment, Energy, and Ecology.
“ENVIRONMENT” Waste should be viewed as a perennial resource, and by processing and recycling it, the environment can be kept clean for future generations. RDF can replace coal in the industrial sector and RDF has been successfully tried in industrial boilers with clean emissions and high efficiency. As the population increases, so does the pressure on land. By using fuel from MSW, the percentage of land needed for fuel such as firewood will decrease and the dependence on landfill will be reduced, allowing the land to be released for other purposes.
“ENERGY” MSW is a heterogeneous mixture of varying composition. Therefore the process is about separating the combustibles in the mixture from the non-combustibles. This process is so flexible that we can offer it in modules that vary according to the quantum of municipal solid waste in townships.
“ECOLOGY” The RDF process immensely contributes towards maintaining the ecological balance. By adopting the RDF process, the strain on forests could be reduced as deforestation for fuel purposes will go down. A biomass fuel, RDF does not add any carbon dioxide to the environment – therefore no contribution to the Greenhouse Effect.
By supporting the RDF Technology that tackles the ever increasing problem of MSW disposal and converts it into energy in an environmentally friendly manner, we are helping to protect the fourth “E” that can never be recycled – EARTH.
